Pool Filter Cleaning That Restores Flow
A dirty filter is the hidden cause behind most cloudy pools and tired pumps. It's the part nobody thinks about until the water goes hazy or the pump starts straining — and cedar pollen season around here can choke a cartridge in just a few weeks.
We do full teardowns, not a quick hose-off. Cartridges are deep-cleaned or replaced, DE grids inspected and recharged, sand media evaluated. Restored flow means clearer water, lower energy use, and a pump that isn't fighting for its life.

How Often Should You Clean a Pool Filter?
It depends on the filter type and the season. As a rule of thumb in our area: cartridges every 3–4 months, DE grids twice a year, sand inspected yearly — and always after an algae event or heavy pollen season. The real signal is pressure: when the gauge climbs 8–10 PSI over its clean baseline, it's time, regardless of the calendar.
If you're on our weekly service, we watch filter pressure every visit and flag a clean before your water clarity or pump ever suffers.
Why Cedar Country Is Hard on Filters
The Hill Country's cedar and live oaks are relentless — pollen in winter, catkins in spring, leaves in fall. All of it ends up in your filter, where it restricts flow and forces your pump to work harder and hotter. Regular filter service is genuinely preventative: it protects the most expensive part of your equipment pad.
